Job Description Performs duties and responsibilities that range from shop support to product design and include but are not limited to:  Analyzes design input requirements and progresses accordingly.  Alters or originates designs according to customer specifications.  Evaluates engineering change requests for validity.  Creates detailed product drawings and defines applicable product data requirements, i.e. BOMs, Routings.  Creates and maintains production machine code.  Provides support to manufacturing to insure that applicable products are fabricated and assembled based upon the initial design input requirements.  Works inside of engineering database to carry out engineering activities, i.e. engineering change orders, project documentation, product reviews, etc.
Qualifications A combination of education, training and experience with emphasis on 3D sheet metal design for manufacturing, utilizing AutoCAD and Pro/E Solid Modeling and Manufacturing software. Knowledge/skill in using MS Project Management, Excel, Word and Access Database. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc. Ability to interpret a variety of written and oral instructions, diagrams and schedules. Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with customers. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and perform mathematical calculations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. Ability to accurately program Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery.
Compensation $32,500 annually
